Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) is mainly for Ex Servicemen children to study their UG course. Candidates can apply online for 2018-19 academic year to get PMSS and the last date is yet to be inform. Very good news for candidates to avail 2018 Scholarship under PMSS. Department of Ex Servicemen Welfare (DESW) is providing scholarship to students under Prime Minister Scheme to encourage study any UG degree course. One must check the eligibility criteria, require documents and courses list available for PMSS before applying online.

Eligibility Criteria to get PMSS 2018:
The applicant must be a ward of Ex Servicemen. Students who clear 10+2 exam with minimum of 60% marks are eligible to apply for PMSS 2018. Candidates who complete diploma course are also eligible to get Prime Minister Scholarship.

What is the total number of PMSS scholarships?
Around 5500 scholarships are sanctioned every academic year for both boys and girls. The period of scholarship is given from one year to five years, depending upon the duration of course taken by candidate. Boys are given Rs.2000 per month and girls are given Rs.2200 per month as scholarship amount. The scholarship amount will be provide to students as annual payment.

Note: The PMSS is sanctioned only for regular course and distance learning is not entertained. Also students cannnot receive scholarship for abroad degree courses.

How to apply for DEWS PMSS 2018 Scholarship?

• Initially visit http://164.100.158.73/index.htm which is the official portal of Kendriya Sainik Board Secretariat.
• Scroll to the bottom of page to get Application Form Link.
• Select Application form link and you can see three options.
• New applicants must choose “Check List and Application for Fresh Scholarship”.
• Choose “Registration” and fill in the application.
• You will get user name and password which can be use for further process.
